The Company
Chocolate Creations
was launched in 2003 by Lindsay, a small company producing Wedding and
Specialist Occasion Cakes for the discerning customer. It is our demand for
quality and excellence that has given
the company it's reputation, and success.
It is this success that has already seen our company expand in to new and larger
premises. Clients are more than welcome to make an appointment to visit our
premises, which features a large production area, and a consulting room where we
can provide a full design service, and guide you through the process of choosing
your cake. Many Brides have told us that they were excited about their
wedding
cake from Chocolate Creations, not only knowing that it would look fabulous but
also confident that their guests would love eating it! That's the kind of
compliment we enjoy hearing because we take pride in creating our sponge cakes
and fillings from scratch using nothing less than the highest quality fresh
ingredients like whipped cream, free range eggs, imported Belgian Chocolate and
top-of-the-line liqueurs. Inside each cake is moist and flavourful, never dry or
over sweet. Our range of chocolates are hand made with only fresh ingredients.
We do not use preservatives, chemical additives to extend the 'Shelf
Life' for our ganache filled chocolates and truffles beyond their natural 3-4 weeks.

Lindsay Robson
All our
cakes are designed and hand crafted by the owner of
Chocolate Creations,
Lindsay Robson.
Lindsay, has spent several years attending chocolate schools and courses, and
has recently attended an advanced course in Belgium developing her expertise in
the art of chocolate work. She is also fully qualified in Royal Icing to an
advanced level and is a 1st prize certificate winner for her icing work.
Lindsay has earned a distinction in
her Advanced Techniques of Royal Icing Course examined by the examining body
'Centra' and has also qualified for her food hygiene certificate from the 'Royal
Institute of Public Health and Hygiene'. These and her numerous other
certificates are available for inspection in our consulting room. (To view

In addition to her cake making activities Lindsay is keen to pass on her
enthusiasm and passion for chocolate, she has presented many demonstrations on
the subject to audiences such as trade fairs, Women's Institute etc.
Our Bakery
The
bakery is located in Tockwith near Wetherby, and is ideally situated just of the
'A1' to service the whole of the Yorkshire
region. It is 601 square feet and is fully compliant with all current food
hygiene regulations. It is important to select your cake from a business who is
fully compliant with these hygiene regulations, to ensure your cake is made to
the highest standards. To ensure we comply with these regulations we are subject
to periodic inspections by the local health authorities, and are in possession
of all relevant hygiene certificates, which are displayed in our bakery at all
times.
Consultation Room
We also have a consultation room,
where we are pleased to welcome our clients, by appointment, to discuss their
personal cake requirements on a one to one basis. You can look through our
designs and taste our delicious moist chocolate sponge cake base, which is
layered with ganache and contains a touch of Grand Marnier. You can also taste,
for yourselves, the true quality of the Callebaut chocolate which we use.
Delivery & Setup Service
Eliminate all your worries by taking advantage of our delivery and setup
service. This service ensures that your cake is delivered, setup on it's stand
and displayed to it's optimum for both you and your guests.
Keith Robson
Lindsay's
father was a Senior Lecturer and Course Director in the Department of Food
Technology at the Leeds College of Technology and at Thomas Danby College,
Leeds. He introduced and developed the chocolate and sugar confectionery courses
at the college and was a member of the 'CABERTEC' distance learning working
party of the Chocolate, Cocoa, Cake and Biscuit Alliance. With over 40 years
experience in the industry he has been an enormous inspiration and support to
Lindsay.
